Every card is a claim that really circulates. Read it, then name the trick it uses — the same 7 techniques that run through Record vs Rumor. You'll see what the record says either way. The point isn't the score; it's learning to spot the next one on your own feed.

The 7 techniques
- conflated categories
- Two different groups or ideas blurred into one — the commonest trick in this set (for instance, treating 'Shudra' and 'untouchable', or a dominant caste and a Scheduled Caste, as the same thing).
- wrong date
- A real-sounding event pinned to the wrong year, so the timeline no longer checks out.
- inflated number
- A real figure exaggerated well past what the record supports.
- decontextualised quote
- A genuine quotation stripped of the context that changes its meaning.
- fabricated stat
- A statistic, law, or event with no source at all — simply invented and passed on.
- misattributed heritage
- A false shared origin assigned to groups whose histories are actually distinct.
- poisoning the well
- Attacking the source or the messenger pre-emptively, instead of engaging the claim.
